The slip of the hounds, the turn of the hare and the roar of the crowd will all feature as part of a special IRISH TV programme from the National Coursing Finals this week on IRISH TV.
Highlights from the 3 day event will feature throughout the programme with discerning and engaging interviews from passionate coursing followers from Ireland and further afield. President of the Irish Coursing Club Brian Divilly, ICC CEO DJ Histon and well known coursing enthusiasts Sir Mark Prescott, legendry punter Harry Findlay, Cork hurling manager Jimmy Barry Murphy are amongst those that feature in the insightful programme.
The programme also follows the fortunes of Ian Reillys dogs over the three days and follows his daughter Shannon and son Billy as they pray for a good result before each competition. Berky Browne, 101 year Jack Powell, Imelda Grauer, Orla Farrelly, Liam Kelly, singer Jimmy Buckley, TD Michael Lowry and Gerry Chalke are also featured in the programme.

The 2nd annual Alltech International Craft Brews and Food Fair, Ireland’s largest craft beer festival, opened its doors yesterday in Dublin’s Convention Centre and IRISH TV were there to film all the action.Over 5,000 people are expected to attend the fair throughout the weekend as our love for craft beer in Ireland grows and grows.
Along with enjoying more than 150 brews from more than 45 breweries from around the world and food from 17 Irish artisan food producers, attendees can also learn from food pairing experts, including TV chef Catherine Fulvio. World-renowned beer judges and international trade professionals will also be present for three days of learning, tasting and entertainment.
The Dublin Craft Beer Cup will also return to allow craft brewers to showcase their beers and have them rated by an international panel of experts. The award-winning brewers will receive the Dublin Craft Beer Cup. Winner of the 2013 Dublin Craft Beer Cup, Owen Scullion from Hilden Brewing Company, will also be exhibiting at the Fair.
IRISH TV headed along to the Printworks Conference Centre in Dublin Castle yesterday for the SFA National Small Business Awards 2014 launch.
The aim of the SFA National Small Business Awards is to celebrate the achievements of small businesses in Ireland, and to recognise the vital contribution of the small business sector to the Irish economy and to showcase Ireland’s entrepreneurial talent. Small businesses are the engines for future growth in Ireland.
The finalists for the 2014 awards were chosen yesterday. The winners will be announced on March 6th. Bobby Kerr (Insomnia) and John Perry, Minister of State for Small Business were guest speakers at the event.

Lough Key in County Roscommon welcomed Irelands most prestigious two day sleddog racing event last weekend. IRISH TV were there to capture all the atmosphere and excitement from this unique racing event.

IRISH TV attended the ITLG Silicon Valley Technology Forum in the University of Limerick this week. The goal of the Forum was to identify the most promising entrepreneurial opportunities and investments in the global tech industry today.
The event featured the most innovative companies, eminent technologists, influential investors and journalists from around the world. The event was also attended by President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins.
